This was an unusual tale and I really enjoyed it. It was fast pace, intriguing, and it kept me wanting to see where the next chapter would lead me. This story starts off the characters at a young age, but then it fast forward as adults so you get there back story of the years gone by and the suspense of what’s to come.

The magic in this book drew me to read it. The human interactions and suspense made me not put it down. Nancee Cain took me a journey back to my own childhood in the mountains.
